|Job Description:||Assist the pathologist in the performance of forensic and/or hospital requested autopsies based on accepted autopsy techniques. Conduct medico-legal death investigations in accordance with the Texas Code of Criminal Procedures, Article 49.25. Must be able to receive, comprehend, and mentally process reports of deaths, maintain legal chain of custody, provide forensically accurate and detailed documentation through written reports and photography.
REQUIREMENTS: Prefer Bachelor's degree. Must have high school diploma or equivalent with preference giving to college level courses in the medical sciences, particularly anatomy and physiology and appropriate exposure to pathology techniques. Must be willing and able to process and learn medico-legal and autopsy techniques and theory. Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Must have an unrestricted Texas driver's license and availability of a continuously operating motor vehicle.
