|Job Description:||Basic electrical work for new and existing construction; i.e. conduit and wiring installation, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems within the Lubbock County Facilities up to and including Detention Facilities.
Knowledge of National Electrical Code requirements for wiring and protection, wiring methods and materials, equipment and general use, special equipment; i.e., signage, industrial machinery, emergency lighting, over current protection, and appropriate tables. Read different schematic diagrams (plumbing, HVAC, and electrical); write work orders and daily logs; identify numbers and order correct parts; perform mathematical calculations; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public. High School Diploma or its equivalent, or trade school. Current and Valid Texas Driver License. Must be able to obtain an Apprentice Electrician License. Must be able to pass a Physical and extensive Background Check.
